Newton's Three Laws of Motion

LAW 1: Inertia : A body at rest tends to stay at rest; a body in motion tends to stay in motion.

  • Its velocity will be at the same speed and in the same direction. Forces are in equilibrium.
  • Only the addition of an unbalanced force can make a change in speed and/or direction.

LAW 3: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
